Glyfada is a big town, south of Athens center where wealthy Athenians go to relax themselves in their second residences, which are often huge villas. Located on the coast, it is one of the most popular places to go during summertime.<\/p>\n

Vouliagm\u00e9ni Lake, only a five-minute walk from the little square in the centre of the town, lies \u201csunk\u201d (Vouliagm\u00e9ni meaning sunk) in the remains of a huge limestone cave fed by lukewarm springs welling from underground. The lake\u2019s mineral and brackish waters feel absolutely silky while swimming whereas it is reportedly healing for rheumatism and arthritis! You can enjoy a swim in its cool and beautiful water as well as a drink at the nice caf\u00e9 positioned in the edge of the lake.<\/p>\n
The sandy beach at Varkiza is the most far away from the town center; therefore it is one of the less crowded in the south-east coast. This beach offers tennis and volleyball courts which can be hired per hour, day or evening, water slide, snack bars and a play area for children.An outstanding seascape unfolds with impressive coves below the coastal road. You will have the chance to swim in free or organised beaches with azure waters, to exercise your favourite water sports or enjoy a delicious meal in a picturesque taverna by the sea while sipping a glass of ouzo which perfectly complements fresh seafood!<\/p>\n
The coastal road continues through marvellous tourist resorts such as Lagonissi and Saronida and ends at Cape Sounio, Attica\u00a2s southeastern tip.<\/p>\n
